Katherine Williams brings extensive leadership experience across the UK’s health and social care landscape. With a background in clinical nursing, she has held senior roles in the NHS, CQC, and HIW, including Director-level positions shaping regulatory policy and national healthcare inspection strategies.

Her expertise spans compliance, governance, and quality improvement — underpinned by a deep understanding of both the provider and regulatory perspective. Katherine has successfully led hundreds of CQC registrations and appeals, and is widely recognised for her attention to detail and knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks.

Among her many achievements, Katherine developed Europe’s first pandemic inspection methodology, used across UK nations and internationally. She continues to lecture at multiple universities, contributes to published work on regulation and governance, and is currently writing a book on UK regulatory practices.
