Regulatory adherence in a large care home provider

What issue did the care home have?

This posed a considerable risk to the provider, as it could lead to potential penalties, reputational damage, and, most importantly, compromised care for their residents.


How did Fulcrum Care help?
Recognising the critical need for support and expertise in achieving regulatory compliance, the provider reached out to Fulcrum. The goal was to conduct comprehensive audits of all the services and identify areas where they were falling short of requirements. The audits were carried out meticulously to ensure a thorough evaluation of each service’s operations, protocols, and adherence.
Fulcrum presented their findings to the care provider, highlighting the specific risks associated with non-compliance and discussed the lack of progress seen in most of the services. This open and transparent communication helped the provider understand the gravity of the situation and the urgent need for improvement.
Following the audits, practical and actionable recommendations were provided to rectify the compliance gaps and the recommendations were tailored to each service’s unique needs, ensuring that the solutions were feasible and effective.
It was also mutually agreed that Tony Thiru, Fulcrum’s founder, would personally visit one of the services. This visit served as an opportunity to further assess the situation on-site, gain deeper insights, and offer hands-on guidance for implementing the necessary changes.
